Author’s 2021 update: As it turns out, this video was extremely helpful to me in creating the Adaptive Flow organizational framework. It’s a simple notion that’s much more challenging to discern if it’s truly going to be authentic and motivational but true purpose provides a developmental pull which is the essential first step in any kind of development, whether that’s for a person, team, or organization. Any kind of healthy system has differentiated parts within an integrated whole and this model helps leaders establish guiding principles and boundaries which can then be leveraged to run experiments (strategies, goals, metrics) that bring a person or team closer to their aspirational culture and capabilities.
